At present, cricket relations between India and Bangladesh do not seem to be getting restored. The Indian team was to tour Bangladesh in August last year but it was postponed to September 2026. BCCI has made its stand clear after the ruckus created by Bangladesh Cricket Board in ICC T20 World Cup. The team’s schedule is busy and there is no time to play the series after that.

New Delhi. There are some questions among the fans regarding whether the Indian men’s cricket team will play a series with Bangladesh this year or not. After the situation arising between the two countries and creating havoc in the T20 World Cup held in India, the series looks difficult. The Indian team was to tour Bangladesh in August 2025, where a white-ball series of three ODIs and three T20 matches was to be played. After discussions between BCCI and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), this tour was postponed till September 2026.

In a statement issued on July 5, 2025, BCCI said that both the boards took this decision keeping in mind the international cricket commitments and the convenience of both the teams. At that time BCCI had confirmed that this series would be played in September 2026. Cricket relations between the two countries have come under strain after Bangladesh’s decision to refuse to play matches in India during the ICC T20 World Cup 2026.

According to reports, BCCI may break cricket relations with Bangladesh. Cannot travel for the series to be held in 2026. Despite the tension, BCB has expressed hope of hosting India later this year. On Saturday (May 2), BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia gave important information regarding the possibility of India’s tour to Bangladesh.

After IPL 2026 ends on May 31, India will play the only Test against Afghanistan in Mohali from June 6 to 10. After this, there will be a three-match ODI series against Afghanistan in Dharamshala, Lucknow and Chennai between June 14 and 20. After this, Team India will go to the United Kingdom to play two T20 matches against Ireland in June and five T20 and three ODI matches against England from July 1 to 19. After the white-ball series in England, India will play three T20 matches in Zimbabwe from 23 to 26 July.

India’s domestic season will start from September 27 with a series of three ODIs and five T20 matches against West Indies. Before this, there is a possibility of India also going on a tour of Sri Lanka.
