BCCI has already confirmed a Test and three ODI series against Afghanistan after IPL. After this the T20 team will go to Ireland and then leave for the white ball tour of England. India will play five T20s and three ODIs in England. It will start on July 1 in Chester-le-Street. In such a situation, the team will reach England a few days before and prepare for the series.

Paul Sterling steps down from T20 captaincy

Before the start of the T20 series, Ireland will have to choose a new captain. Paul Stirling has resigned from T20 captaincy. The experienced opener decided to leave the captaincy in the shortest format. His tenure as T20 captain ended. Sterling will continue to captain the team in ODIs, which will provide stability to the team in the longer format.
