Harmanpreet Kaur-led team won its second match of Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 against Netherlands by 95 runs. After defeating Pakistan in its opening match of the tournament, the team also saw a strong performance against Netherlands. Batting first at Headingley, India set a target of 210 runs and then the Indian bowlers bowled out Netherlands for 114 runs in 17.3 overs. With the second consecutive win, the team has reached the first position in the points table of Group A with four points.

After losing the toss, the Indian team came to bat and scored 209 runs losing 5 wickets. The opening pair of Smriti Mandhana and Shefali Verma gave a great start to India. Both the players made a partnership of 115 runs in 70 balls. Shefali was out after scoring 55 runs in 38 balls with 10 fours, after which Mandhana along with Jemimah Rodriguez scored 47 runs in 26 balls for the second wicket. Mandhana returned to the pavilion after scoring 74 runs in 47 balls with 1 six and 11 fours.

India got its second blow on the last ball of the 16th over. After this the team lost four wickets at the score of 168 in 17.1 overs. From here, Richa Ghosh along with captain Harmanpreet Kaur added 31 runs in 15 balls for the fifth wicket and took the team to a huge score. Richa remained unbeaten after scoring 20 runs in 8 balls, while captain Kaur contributed 12 runs to the team’s account. Deepti Sharma scored 10 unbeaten runs in 2 balls. Caroline de Lange took maximum 2 wickets from the opposition camp. Iris Zwilling, Heather Seegers and Marthe van den Raad took 1 wicket each.
