Due to strong sunlight and hot winds in the afternoon, the possibility of impact on the health of children has increased. For this reason, parents and school management are having serious discussions regarding summer holidays.
When can summer vacation happen?
Summer vacations in Delhi schools usually start from the second or third week of May. However, this time in view of the increasing heat, there is a demand to start the holidays earlier. If the temperature continues to remain high like this then the administration may change the dates of holidays. The dates of new holidays have not been officially announced yet.
Change made in school timings
In view of the heat, school timings have been changed in some districts and many areas of NCR. Instructions have been given to open schools early in the morning and close before noon. Due to this, efforts are being made to protect children from strong sunlight and heat. Many schools have also changed the timings at their level.

Important instructions given to schools

For this reason, demand is being raised on social media and at the local level to declare summer holidays early. Some parents have also suggested the option of online classes. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature may remain high in the coming days also. People have been advised to leave their homes less between 12 noon to 4 pm. Advice has also been issued to drink enough water, wear light clothes and protect from sunlight.
