After the match, experienced spinner Yuzvendra Chahal discussed the team’s strategy and atmosphere in the press conference. Chahal admitted that it is difficult for any team to defend 264 runs on a small ground like Delhi. Chahal said that even when Delhi scored 264 runs, our thinking was positive. The way our openers batted. With that, we were sure after just 6 overs that we were winning.
Delhi Capitals, batting first, had scored a mountain-like score of 264 runs for 2 wickets, but Punjab scored 265 runs by losing 4 wickets in just 18.5 overs and achieved a memorable victory by 6 wickets. The foundation of this historic victory was laid by the opening batsmen of Punjab. Prabhsimran Singh hit 76 runs in just 26 balls while hitting fours and sixes all around the ground. Priyansh Arya, who was supporting him, also did not give any chance to the Delhi bowlers. Both of them made a stormy partnership of 128 runs in just 42 balls for the first wicket.

There was no tension on Shreyas’ face even while chasing the score of 264. By playing an unbeaten inning of 71 runs in 36 balls, he ensured that the team did not deviate from the target. Chahal said, ‘People talk about Klaasen and Pooran, but Prabhsimran is equally dangerous. Bowling to him in the nets is the biggest challenge for me. Even after seeing 264 runs, there was no wrinkle on Shreyas’s face. He trusts the bowlers and looks very confident in batting as well.
