Meta One-Login: Meta has taken a big step towards making login and account management easier for users. The company has introduced a new Meta Account system through which Facebook, Instagram and other connected devices and services can now be managed from a single account. Till now, separate logins had to be maintained for different apps and devices, which caused a lot of trouble to the users.
What will change with the new Meta Account system?
Till now Meta had a feature like Accounts Center which connected some services, but it was not fully integrated. After the introduction of the new Meta Account system, users will get the facility to access all the apps and services through a single login, which will make the entire experience more easy and organized.
How will this new system work?
In this new system, users will need only one password with which they will be able to login to Facebook, Instagram, Threads and AI connected devices like smart glasses. However, this system will be optional for WhatsApp, that is, if the user wants, they can use it separately.
Special attention to security and privacy
Meta has also strengthened security in this new system. Users will now be able to use advanced features like Passkey in which instead of password, login can be done through fingerprint, face unlock or device PIN. Apart from this, facilities like Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and login alert will also be available so that information about any suspicious activity will be available immediately.
Control all settings from one place
Through Meta Account, users will be able to manage all the important settings related to their account like password, email and two-factor authentication from one place. The advantage of this will be that there will be no need to make changes in each app separately.
It will be beneficial for parents also
This system can prove to be very useful for parents also. Parents will be able to keep an eye on their children’s accounts through the Family Center dashboard under Meta Account. They will be able to control the settings of apps like Instagram, Facebook and Messenger from one place.
When will this new feature be available?
According to Meta, this new Meta Account system will gradually start rolling out from next year. This means it may take some time to reach all users, but in the coming months this feature can bring a big change in the entire ecosystem of Meta.
