After which the whole country will be immersed in the atmosphere of IPL. Due to this, this time everyone will keep an eye on the uncapped players bought by different teams in the IPL auction. Like every year, a lot is being expected from these players to play something different. But how do these uncapped players come into the IPL auction? To know about this, when we talked to the head coach of the Indian deaf cricket team, Dev Dutt, let us tell you in detail about what things he told.

Players are prepared for IPL from this age.
Dev Dutt told us in the beginning that all the players you are seeing playing well now. He started learning cricket at the age of about 6 to 7 years. Now at this age children start learning cricket professionally. He also said that if a player has to be specially prepared for the IPL, then from the age of 16 to 17, he starts preparing him in such a way that he gets selected for the IPL. Then at the age of 18 to 20, they send that player to every major tournament in the country. From where he gets selected for the IPL auction as an uncapped player. He also said that most of the coaches expect that their players should play IPL at the age of 21 to 22 years.

To be selected in IPL, it is necessary to perform well in these tournaments.
Dev Dutt further said that to get selected in IPL and especially to enter the IPL auction as an uncapped player in the first phase of IPL, it is very important for you to perform well in big domestic tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He further said that now every state is organizing its own T20 Premier League. Giving an example, he said that there is Delhi Premier League in Delhi and this year a player like Tejashwi Singh Dahiya was included in the IPL auction from this Premier League. Kolkata Knight Riders have taken him into their team by paying Rs 3 crore more than his base price of Rs 30 lakh. He further said that apart from this, there are all the big domestic leagues. If you perform well in all of them then you will be selected for the IPL auction. Any big team of IPL will also take you in their team.

How is the base price of uncapped players selected?
Describing the base price of uncapped players and the entire selection process, Dev Dutt said that the base price of players mostly remains between Rs 10 lakh, 20 lakh and 30 lakh. He said that this base price is decided after looking at the performance of the players. In this, the players, their managers and also the selection committee of the state from which they are coming. He also said that if a player has played only the Premier League. Since he has not played a big domestic tournament like Ranji Trophy or Mushtaq Ali Trophy yet, it is expected that the base price of the player will be low. In the end, he also said that to keep the base price high and to be selected in a big team of IPL, it is very important for the player to perform consistently well in big tournaments like Ranji Trophy, Mushtaq Ali Trophy. This also gets the player selected in the IPL auction and in some big team.
