Midjourney Scanner: Will there be no need for MRI now and full body scans will start being done with the help of AI? This question is being asked because popular company Midjourney has introduced a new scanner for AI image generation model. Regarding this medical device named Midjourney Scanner, the company claims that it can give results equal to MRI in a short time and it will not emit any kind of radiation. Let us tell you that for some time, the focus of tech companies on AI hardware has increased.

How will Midjourney Scanner work?

Midjourney CEO David Holz has described this project as weird and crazy, but wonderful and full of hope. The company’s scanner is an ultrasonic device, which can scan the entire body with the help of sensors and for this one will need to stand in water for one minute. The company says that the sensors installed in this device send ultrasonic waves to the body from different angles. Then with its help, vertical slices inside the body are captured and a 3D map is prepared for muscles, fat, bones and organs. During scanning, all the necessary information inside the entire body can be collected. The CEO of the company claims that this scanner can give image quality equal to MRI in many cases.

There is no risk of radiation

This scanner uses sound waves and water, so no radiation or magnetic field is generated from it. In this respect, it is considered safer than MRI. Whereas MRI takes 30-90 minutes. This scanner can complete this task in just one minute. The company says that it wants to make full body scanning like a spa.

When will Midjourney Scanner be available?

Right now this scanner is in its initial stage and it has not even been clinically verified. The company says that it will need permission from the US Food and Drug Administration for diagnostic medical use, but it will start with body composition maps, for which permission can be obtained quickly. The company will open a Midjourney Spa in San Francisco next year, where this scanner will be deployed. 10 such scanners will be placed in every spa. The company will increase the number of such spas by 2028 and is moving forward with the target of making 50,000 scanners available in the next six years.
