Facebook Affiliate Partnerships: Meta has opened a new door of earning on Facebook and Instagram. Meta has announced Facebook Affiliate Partnerships. Through this, creators will be able to link products in their posts and reels. When someone buys the product by visiting that link, the creator will get commission. Announcing this at the Shoptalk 2026 conference, the company said that by combining creator monetization, artificial intelligence and in-app shopping, Meta wants to transform its social media platforms into a strong e-commerce destination.
What will change with Facebook Affiliate Partnerships?
Till now creators were not able to directly tag products in their posts and reels. He had to give the link of the product in his bio or comment, but now this restriction is ending. Now the product can be tagged in the post itself, so that the audience can view that product as well as buy it by tapping and its commission will go into the creator's pocket.
How will this feature work?
This feature will work on both Facebook and Instagram. Creators will be given the option to tag the product in their photo posts along with Reels. Once connected, a clean and clickable banner will appear over the content. As soon as you tap on it, the viewer will be redirected to the affiliate partner's app or mobile website, from where they can complete the shopping.
Feature rolled out in these countries
The company has initially rolled it out for Amazon and Shopee. This feature is live on Amazon in America and on Shopee in Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Brazil and Taiwan. The company says that it will bring this feature to more platforms and countries in the coming days.
