Yashasvi Jaiswal: Yashasvi Jaiswal has not only scored a century but has also given a statement that he has not come here just to play but has come here to stay. Have come to rule the field. After completing his century by hitting a six, the manner in which he led the team to victory by hitting a six shows his clear intentions and high self-confidence.

If Yashasvi Jaiswal had failed in the last ODI against Afghanistan in Chennai, the selectors would not have wasted a moment in dropping him from the team. But this 23 year old batsman gave a befitting reply to the critics by scoring his second century in his last three ODI innings. Jaiswal completed his century in 83 balls with a six off Nabi and then in the same over gave India victory with fours and sixes on consecutive balls.
Now when the selectors will announce the ODI squad against England in a day or two, it will not be easy for them to drop Yashasvi. After the match Yashasvi Jaiswal said:
I enjoyed it a lot. Initially I got some runs in the powerplay and I tried to maintain my rhythm and play till the end. I just focus on my process, which is under my control, and try to work as hard as I can. I think I have been lucky, so if I get a good start, I try to convert it into a big innings. Today I came with a very strong intention that I have to maintain my focus and rotate the strike, so that if I get stuck, I can take full advantage of it.
Now how will you remove him from the team?
Due to Virat Kohli not playing in the series due to injury, Yashasvi got a chance in the playing eleven. Captain Shubman Gill left his opening position and batted at number three, but Yashasvi was able to score only four runs in the second ODI in Lucknow. Now when Virat returns, he will bat only at number three, in such a situation Gill will have no other option but to open with Rohit. The arrival of Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer has created a big threat for Yashasvi and KL Rahul.
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored his second century in the last three ODI innings.
Innings of 110 runs in 86 balls
Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 110 runs in 86 balls with the help of 14 fours and three sixes. When India started chasing the target of 219 runs, Yashasvi started with three fours in the very first over of Omarzai. After this, he completed his half-century in 38 balls with one run off Rashid Khan and then took the team’s score beyond 100 runs in the 13th over with a four off Allah Ghazanfar.
