According to the new direction of the government, people living in areas where Piped Natural Gas (PNG) facility is available may have to gradually shift from LPG to PNG. How to check PNG availability from smartphone
You can easily check whether PNG (Piped Natural Gas) facility is available in your area or not through the mobile app. For this, first of all download the app of your city's gas company from Google Play Store like Indraprastha Gas Limited, Mahanagar Gas Limited or Adani Total Gas Limited. After opening the app, go to the option like New PNG Connection or Check Availability and enter your pincode or full address.
After filling the details, the app will immediately tell you whether PNG service is available in your area or not. If the service is available then you can apply for connection from there and if not then the message of Not Available or Coming Soon will be visible.
Different platforms for different cities
People living in Delhi-NCR can visit the website of the concerned gas company and fill the information of their colony in the Domestic PNG section. If your area appears in the list then you can immediately apply for a new connection.
The same process is applicable for those living in Mumbai and surrounding areas where availability can be checked by going to the customer zone on the website and entering the PIN code. Apart from this, for other cities of the country also one has to visit the sites of different gas providers and fill the information of their area in the registration section. In some cities, private companies are also providing PNG service where new connection can be applied through option.
What to do if PNG is available in your area?
If during investigation it is found that PNG is available in your area then you can apply online immediately. After this, your address will be verified by the company and then the process of pipeline installation will start.
