The cricket world is ashamed! Sri Lankan player arrested for making video of women in bathroom

New Delhi: A surprising case has come to light regarding two players of Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team. It is alleged that players made a video of people taking bath in a hotel in Colombo. After this allegation, both the players were arrested on the charges. According to the report of ESPN Cricinfo, this incident happened in a hotel in Narahenpita where the players were staying. The women staying in the hotel had complained that their videos were being made on mobile phones while they were in the bathroom.

After this complaint, both the accused players were taken into custody. According to reports, both the players have now been granted bail on a personal bond of 500000 Sri Lankan rupees. Narahenpita police are currently investigating whether any of these videos were shared online. The players were produced before the Aluthkade Magistrate Court for the first hearing and are scheduled to appear before the court again on May 25.

The board has not taken action against the players

The Sri Lanka Cricket Board has not yet announced any disciplinary action against these two players. In fact, the Cricket Board itself is going through major changes in the last 48 hours, where a new transformation committee has been appointed by removing the previous officials.
