Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold Discontinued: Samsung has stopped the sale of its most expensive phone and first trifold phone Galaxy Z TriFold. The company has taken this big step about three months after its launch. It was first launched in South Korea and it is from here that its sales have started to stop. After South Korea, it will be discontinued in other markets as soon as its stock gets exhausted.
Despite tremendous sales the company took the decision
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold was launched in December last year and there was huge demand for this trifold phone. It used to be out of stock within minutes of the start of sale in every market including South Korea. A similar situation was seen in America. Despite this, now the company is going to end the journey of this phone.
Why is it being closed despite demand?
The decision to stop the sale of this phone is not surprising. Actually, Samsung had already made it clear that there will be limited supply of this phone in selected markets only. Due to this, the company manufactured only a few thousand units. Actually, Samsung did not launch this phone for the mass level. The company just wanted to show through this that it can make trifold phones. Apart from this, the company was not making profit from the sale of this phone. This phone worth lakhs was costing more to the company.
Will not even bring next generation model
Along with discontinuing the Galaxy Z TriFold, Samsung has also made it clear that it will not launch its next generation model. Let us tell you that after the Chinese brand Huawei, Samsung was the second company to launch a trifold phone.
