Former assistant coach of the Indian cricket team, Ryan ten Doeschate has got a big responsibility in the Kolkata Knight Riders team. Doeschate will take over the post of Talent Acquisition and Head of Cricket Strategy at KKR. Doeschate is associated with KKR for the second time as a coaching staff. Apart from this, he has also played for KKR in IPL as a player for a long time.
Ryan ten Doeschate joins KKR coaching staff
Apart from this, Ryan ten Doeschate will also work as an assistant coach for Trinbago Knight Riders in CPL, Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in ILT20 and Los Angeles Knight Riders in Major League Cricket. Speaking on Doeschate’s appointment, Venky Mysore, CEO, Knight Riders Sports, said, “We welcome Tendo to the Knight Riders family. His deep understanding of the game, combined with his experience of franchise and international cricket, makes him ideally suited for the role.”

Doeschate also expressed his happiness on joining the Knight Riders. He said, “I am very excited to be back with the Knight Riders in this role. This is a unique opportunity to work closely with the coaching and analytics teams across our global franchise, strengthen our scouting and build a long-term cricket strategy.”
Ryan has played in IPL for KKR
Let us tell you that Ryan ten Doeschate has a long relationship with KKR. Doeschate has played for KKR in IPL as a player. He joined KKR in the year 2011. Apart from this, he has also been a member of the KKR team that won the IPL title in 2012 and 2014. Later in the year 2022, he joined this team as coaching staff. He was also present with the team during KKR’s third title win in IPL 2024.
