Indore News: Sometimes a player’s greatest strength is not his bat or ball. His real strength lies in some words written by his father. The story of Saransh Jain of Indore is also similar. His selection in the Indian team is not just the success of a cricketer. This is the victory of a father’s unwavering faith, a mother’s long penance and the sacrifice of the entire family.

A letter which became the mantra of victory
This story is from the year 2014. Saransh was playing cricket in Australia at that time. During this time a mountain collapsed on his house. His father Subodh Jain was affected by a serious disease like cancer. He was admitted in the hospital. The family did not tell this to Saransh. He was afraid that his son’s attention might get distracted and his dream might get shattered.

When Saransh returned from Australia, he came to know about his father’s condition. The father was in the hospital and was not in a position to speak. But, look at the courage of a father. He wrote only one line on the paper with trembling hands, ‘Son… you play well… I will get well soon.’

That letter is still there today
Today years have passed, but for Saransh it is not a piece of paper, but the blessings of the father. Even today, before every match, Saransh takes out the same old letter from his bag. Let’s read it and then get on the field. For them this letter is the biggest mantra of courage and victory.

26 years long penance
It is every cricketer’s dream to wear the Test cap of Team India. To summarise, this dream did not come true overnight. 26 years of hard work is hidden behind this. This 33 year old all-rounder never gave up. Getting a place in the Indian Test team for the Sri Lanka tour is the result of his patience.

The whole family saw the same dream
The entire family stood as a shield in this journey of Saransh. When father was ill, mother Sangeeta Jain took care of the entire house. His elder brother supported him at every step. His wife Harshita Jain encouraged Saransh during difficult times. The entire family had only one dream in their eyes that one day Saransh would definitely wear the jersey of Team India. Today that dream has become reality.

Awarded for excellent performance
Saransh Jain recently showed tremendous performance for India A during the Sri Lanka tour. He scored unbeaten 70 runs with the bat and took 6 wickets with the ball. His performance caught the attention of the selectors. Saransh has now become the fourth player from Indore who has got a place in the Indian Test team.
