Ponting got angry when Shashank Singh, Cooper Connolly and Lockie Ferguson dropped easy catches against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Around the 10th over of the match, Ponting was giving an interview on TV during the match. Shortly before that, Connolly and Shashank had dropped the catches of Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen. Ponting was still giving his reaction on those missed catches when in the middle of his interview, Ferguson dropped another very easy catch at mid-wicket. On this Ponting said, ‘I feel like throwing the mike on the field itself.’ His expressions also showed how disappointed he was due to his third consecutive drop of catch.
