New Delhi: Wicketkeeper-batsman Jitesh Sharma believes that becoming the vice-captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and gaining leadership experience has made his game better. Jitesh played an important role in RCB winning its first IPL title in 2025.

The 32-year-old player said that being the defending champion has not brought any change in the thinking of RCB as the team is entering the field with the same hunger as last year. He said, “Our director Mo Bobat has clearly said that we are not defending the title. We are chasing the title. We are as hungry as last year. Many people have forgotten that we are champions. This is a new season. We have to start a new game and focus on one match at a time. But we have the confidence that we have achieved something. We are just moving forward with the same confidence.
