
This pulse is a little different from normal pulses. Whole urad and moong dal are used in this, which become very soft and creamy after cooking. Along with this, spices like tomato, garlic, ginger and Kasuri methi give it a mild spicy and sour taste. The cream and peas added on top make it more rich.

To make this dal, whole urad, whole moong, green chilli, ginger, peas, tomato puree, red chilli powder, coriander powder, kasuri methi, garlic, cream and salt are required. Ginger can be used for garnish.
