How to Clean LED Bulbs: Has the light of the bulbs in your house become dim? Adopt this easy hack before buying a new one

How To Clean LED Bulbs For More Light: If you feel that the light of the bulb in the house is not the same as before and the room has started appearing darker than before, then there is no need to buy a new bulb every time. Many times the reason for this is simply the dust accumulated on the bulb. Especially the LED and CFL bulbs used nowadays last for years, hence gradually a thick layer of dust starts accumulating on them, due to which their light becomes less visible.

Incandescent bulbs used in earlier times used to last only for about 1,000 hours. In such a situation, they would get damaged and replaced and there would not be much chance for dust to accumulate. But today’s LED bulbs can last for about 25,000 hours i.e. about 25 years. It is completely normal for dust to accumulate on them over such a long period of time.

How can cleaning be done?

According to experts, bulbs covered with dust can give about 50 percent less light than clean bulbs. The special thing is that the electricity consumption remains the same, but due to dust the light is less felt. Therefore, if suddenly there is less light in any room of the house, then first try cleaning the bulb. Before cleaning the bulb, the most important thing is to switch off the switch or lamp of the room where the bulb is to be cleaned. If the bulb was burning some time ago, let it cool completely. Although LED bulbs get less hot than older bulbs, it is still safe to touch them after they have cooled down.

If the bulb is installed in the kitchen and dust and grease has accumulated on it, then first remove it from the holder. After this, clean only that part from where the light emanates with a slightly wet cloth. After cleaning, allow the bulb to dry completely and only then fit it again.

clean at least twice

Often, while cleaning the house, people only remove dust from furniture and other surfaces, but forget to clean the bulbs. Try to clean all the bulbs in the house, even the ones installed at height, at least twice a year. Due to this, their lighting remains better and the house appears more illuminated without spending extra electricity.
