The firing incident at Rohit Shetty’s residence in February had created a sensation. Many accused in the case have been produced in the MCOCA court and one shooter has been arrested, but now after the arrest of another criminal, the case has come into discussion again. In fact, a joint team of Uttar Pradesh Special Test Force (STF) and Mumbai Police Crime Branch on Thursday arrested a wanted criminal allegedly involved in the firing incident.
Let us tell you that Mumbai Police has arrested Pradeep Kumar Ramsingh alias Chhotu from Agra with the help of Uttar Pradesh Task Force. Investigation has revealed that huge amount of money was offered to the accused for this crime, in which Pradeep Kumar was also involved.
Had been dodging the police for four months
The crime branch was looking for Pradeep Kumar after his role became clear, but he remained absconding by dodging the police for about four months. Police had received information that he was about to return to his home, after which the team caught him from Ashoknagar, New Basti Pakki Talaiya area of Agra. Investigation has also revealed that Pradeep Kumar was influenced by the news and posts related to Shubham Lonkar on social media.
A total of 9 accused have been arrested
Earlier, 8 accused had been arrested in this case. After the arrest of Pradeep, the total number of arrested accused has now increased to 9. At present, the police is thoroughly interrogating Pradeep Kumar and through him, his relations with the main accused Shubham Lonkar are being investigated. In this matter, the police have registered a case under MCOCA and the search for the absconding main accused Shubham Lonkar is going on.

There was firing at Rohit Shetty’s house on 1 February
According to the police, on the night of February 1, 2026, there was firing at ‘Shetty Tower’ located in Juhu area of Mumbai. This attack was allegedly carried out at the behest of the notorious Shubham Lonkar gang with the aim of extorting money and creating fear among the people.
