According to the company, this problem was not affecting everyone but its effect was seen only on some selected accounts. However, complaints received on social media revealed that this disturbance had been going on for several days and more people had to face it around 18–19 April.

The good news is that Instagram has claimed to fix this bug. According to the company, the photos that were affected will gradually return to their original colors. For this, users do not need to do anything special, the system will automatically fix everything.

If photos are still appearing black and white on your phone, then you can try some easy solutions. First of all, wait a bit as in many cases this problem resolves on its own. Additionally, you can try updating the app so that the latest version is used.
Another method is to close the app completely and reopen it, which sometimes fixes minor glitches. The most important thing in this whole matter is that this problem was not related to your device or account. This was just a temporary technical glitch which has now been fixed.
