With this, Sanju Samson has become the first batsman to score a century as a wicketkeeper batsman for CSK in 19 years of IPL. In the absence of veteran MS Dhoni, Sanju is keeping wickets for CSK. Not only this, Sanju has also broken the record of Dhoni’s biggest innings for CSK as a wicketkeeper. Earlier, Dhoni had played an inning of 84 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2019.

Sanju has scored centuries in three different teams

Sanju Samson has become the first batsman to score a century in IPL 2026. Apart from this, Sanju has become the second batsman in IPL history to score centuries on behalf of three different teams. Before CSK, Sanju has also scored centuries for Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. In this case, KL Rahul became the first batsman. CSK team has lost in the first three matches
