How To Turn Off Youtube Shorts: The company has given a new option for the users who are troubled by YouTube shorts. If you do not want to waste your time watching shorts, then you can always remove the shorts from your YouTube by using this option. Actually, there was already an option to set time limit for shorts on YouTube, but now it has been updated. Earlier, a minimum time of 15 minutes could be set, but now there is an option to reduce it to zero. In this way you can close the shorts permanently. This feature has started rolling out.
For whom will this feature be useful?
This feature is very useful for those who are fed up with the habit of watching shorts. Apart from this, now parents also have a new way to help their children get rid of the habit of watching shorts. If they want, they can turn it off completely by setting the time limit of shorts in the YouTube app to zero. As soon as the time limit for shorts is set to zero, shorts will not be visible even when going into the feed. Here you will be told through a pop-up message that you have set the time limit to zero.
Teen accounts will not be able to remove the limit
If you think that children can remove the time limit of shorts then it is not going to happen. This timer cannot be changed from a teen account managed through Google Family Link. This will give more control to parents and children will not be able to change this setting from their account.
How to set time limit to zero?
YouTube may have given the option to set a time limit for shorts, but it is hidden deep inside. To set this timer to zero, first open the YouTube app and tap on your profile icon. After this tap on the settings icon visible here. In this you will see the option of time management. After tapping on it, you will see the option of Daily Short Feed Limit when you scroll down. Now tap on the toggle next to it. Here you will see many options, from which select zero minutes. This way you will be able to set a time limit for shorts.
