Counterpoint Research’s report suggests that the increase in the cost of memory chips is making this iPhone expensive. Now the company has to spend so much money for the memory chip itself, which earlier it used to buy many other components along with the chip. Apart from this, Apple will use a chipset made of 2nm process in iPhone 18 Pro Max. Due to advanced packaging technology, these chipsets are quite expensive.

Apple is going to provide variable aperture on the main camera for the first time in its flagship model. With its help, the light entering the sensor can be controlled while taking photos. It has been said in the report that due to this upgrade there may be a slight increase in prices. It is being told that to keep the price low, the company will spend less money on display panels and other parts, so that the shock of price increase can be reduced to some extent.
What will be available in iPhone 18 Pro Max?
This flagship model of Apple will get a 6.9 inch screen. There are speculations that the company will use energy efficient LTPO+ display panel in it. This iPhone will come with A20 Pro chipset built on TSMC’s advanced 2nm process. Apple will use 12GB RAM and new C2 modem for better connectivity in this model. A 48MP triple camera setup can be provided in its rear.

Counterpoint Research estimates that the starting price of 18 Pro Max could increase by up to $200 and its 1TB variant will see the biggest price hike. In another report some time ago, it was said that the price of 18 Pro Max could be $ 1399 (about Rs 1.32 lakh). In India, the price may be even higher due to import duty, tax and other local price factors.
