The government has banned this app. Now in such a situation, a question arose in the minds of many people that why did Telegram come under attack instead of WhatsApp? Why were questions raised about Telegram?
Telegram is known for its fast speed, large groups and file sharing capabilities. While there are some limits on groups and channels in WhatsApp, information can be sent to millions of people simultaneously on Telegram.
This is the reason why sometimes some people start using this platform for wrong activities. Due to features like large public channels, unlimited file sharing, illegal content or sensitive information can spread rapidly. In such cases, the attention of the administration first goes to Telegram.

WhatsApp is mainly based on end-to-end encryption whereas in Telegram, normal chats are stored on the cloud. However, Telegram also offers a special feature called Secret Chat in which end-to-end encryption is available and messages get more security.
The biggest difference between WhatsApp and Telegram
WhatsApp focuses more on personal conversations whereas Telegram is known for large communities and public channels. Messages can be sent to millions of people through one channel on Telegram. Apart from this, sharing large files and use of automated bots are also the specialties of Telegram.
These features make it special for studies, business and content sharing, but in some cases these features also increase the possibility of misuse.
Is Telegram completely unsafe?
it’s not like that at all. Telegram offers many security features including two-factor authentication, passcode lock, and secret chats. Security also depends to a large extent on how the user is using the app and what kind of channels or groups he is associated with.
