As soon as this news came out, there was panic in the cricket world. However, according to the postmortem report of that time, the cause of his death was said to be a heart attack. Now four years after Shane Warne’s death, his son has made a big claim. Jackson Warne says the Covid-19 vaccine played a role in his father’s sudden demise.

Speaking on the ‘2 Worlds Collide’ podcast, Jackson said that the Covid-19 vaccine may have played a role in his father’s death. However, he also admitted that Shane Warne already had some health problems. Jackson said, ‘I am sure that it (Covid vaccine) had a hand in it. I don’t think it is a matter of controversy to say this now. Even though dad already had some diseases, I think this vaccine brought those problems out completely. This is something I have always struggled with.

Jackson recalled the moment when he received the news of Shane Warne’s death. Jackson said, ‘As soon as I hung up the phone, the first thing I felt was anger at the government. I immediately blamed Covid and the vaccine for this. Jackson also admitted that he wanted to say these things in front of everyone during the condolence meeting, but later he decided not to do so.

Jackson also claimed that his father did not want to get the vaccine, but due to work pressure he had taken three or four doses. He said, ‘Admittedly, people had heart attacks in the past too, but dad was fine. He got the vaccine out of compulsion because it was necessary for work. On his mental condition, Jackson said, ‘I try not to think too much about it now, because it only increases the anger, which is not good for anyone.’

Talking about his father’s lifestyle, Jackson said that Shane Warne was looking very good physically and mentally at that time. He said, ‘Dad was healthy and happy at that time. Admittedly, he used to smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol, but many people do all this even at the age of 80-90 and remain fine. Let us tell you that a few months before his death, Shane Warne was found Covid positive during ‘The Hundred’ tournament in England in 2021. However, there was no news of any serious illness of his at that time, that is why his sudden death shocked everyone.
