WhatsApp Unread Chat Summary Feature: WhatsApp keeps working on new features to improve the experience of its users. Now the company is preparing for a special feature which can completely change the way of reading messages. It often happens that people are not able to read their chats, especially group messages, on time due to their busyness. With the help of this upcoming feature, users will be able to see the summary of multiple unread chats simultaneously. This means that there will be no need to open every chat and read long conversations. This feature can prove to be very useful for those people who are part of many groups and it is not possible for them to read every message. Through a short summary they will get an idea of тАЛтАЛthe entire conversation.
How will this feature work?
To make this feature secure, WhatsApp is using a special technology called Private Processing. Whenever a user requests to view a chat summary, only new and unread messages will be processed. After this, their brief summary will be prepared inside a secure system.
The most important thing is that during this process, neither WhatsApp nor its parent company Meta will be able to access the user's messages or their summary. Due to this, this feature is considered more secure than other AI tools.
Users will get complete control
This feature will be completely optional i.e. it will not be forcibly implemented on anyone. Users will decide for themselves which chats' summary they want to see. Apart from this, Private Processing will also be off by default, which users will be able to turn on as per their need by going to Settings. In this way, users will have complete control over their data.
The feature is still in testing phase
Currently this feature is being tested on the beta version of Android and is not yet available for all users. The company is continuously working to improve it. After completion of testing, it can be gradually extended to more users.

As the activity on messaging apps is increasing, the burden of messages is also increasing. In such a situation, this feature will help the users in saving time and will give relief from the trouble of scrolling through long chats again and again.
