Google Chrome Skills Feature: To make internet browsing smarter than before, Google has introduced a new AI feature Skills in its Chrome browser. This feature has been included in Google Chrome and has been developed with the help of Gemini. Its purpose is to make daily online tasks easier and faster.
What does the Skills feature do?
This feature relieves users from writing the same commands again and again. If you use a particular type of AI prompt repeatedly, you can save it as a Skill. After this you can run it again in one click. Simply put, this feature allows you to save your favorite AI tasks and use them immediately.
How does this feature work?
You can use this feature through the Gemini panel present in Chrome. When you type slash (/), a list of available skills appears in front of you. You can create your own custom prompts or choose from ready-made options.
At present, more than 50 ready skills have been provided in it which are designed for different tasks. This feature completes the work immediately by taking information about your open tabs, so that you do not have to work hard by visiting different websites.
How beneficial is it for users?
The biggest advantage of this feature is time saving. Summarizing a long article, comparing online products or finding necessary information, all these tasks can now be done in a few seconds. Apart from this, this feature makes the work easier for those who use AI tools a lot. Even complex tasks can now be completed in one click.
Security was also taken care of
Google has also given priority to security in this feature. If any sensitive work has to be done like sending an email or adding something to the calendar, the system first asks for permission from the user.
When and where will this feature be available?
The Skills feature is currently being rolled out to Chrome desktop users and is initially available in US English. In the coming time, it will be brought to other languages and countries also. The Skills feature shows that Google is now moving towards making Chrome an AI-first browser.
