Vaibhav Suryavanshi should stay away from media…captain gave instructions before IPL

In the Indian Premier League 2026, everyone's eyes are going to be on Rajasthan Royals' young explosive opener Vaibhav Suryavanshi. New Delhi. Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag has decided to limit young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi's interaction with the media in this IPL season. He has told the 14 year old player to concentrate only on his batting. The franchise is going to start its campaign against Chennai Super Kings on March 30 in Guwahati.
After a brilliant debut season in IPL, all eyes are on Suryavanshi. Parag wants the young player not to feel the pressure of being one of the most talked about players in the tournament. Parag told reporters, “This year there will naturally be hype and pressure. As captain, I will tell him to leave the pressure on Yashasvi Jaiswal. Vaibhav's role is only to go on the field and hit, there is no need to worry. As captain, I will tell him not to hold too many press conferences, not to talk too much to the media, just enjoy the game.”
IPL debut was fantastic
Vaibhav Suryavanshi will turn 15 next week. He made a explosive start in the IPL last season. He started the tournament by hitting a six on the very first ball. After this he scored a century in 35 balls against Gujarat Titans. He also maintained his form in the Under-19 World Cup and scored 175 runs in 80 balls against England in the final and won the trophy for India by hitting a record 30 sixes in the tournament.
This season of Vaibhav will be difficult
Not everyone is confident that this demonstration will continue in the future. Lakshmipathy Balaji said on Star Sports that this time the opposing teams will come with better preparation. Balaji said, “The second season is always difficult. The opposing teams have studied him and maintaining the performance will be a challenge. He also said that the guidance of mentor Kumar Sangakkara will help Suryavanshi to perform consistently.
Chris Gayle's record on target
Suryavanshi has his eyes set on the biggest individual score in IPL history. He had said in the BCCI awards program that he wants to break Chris Gayle's record of 175 runs. Playing for Rajasthan, Vaibhav will aim for this goal this season.
