Ishan Kishan took a jibe at Gill in a funny manner.
New Delhi. As wonderful as the on-field chemistry of the Indian team’s wicketkeeper-batsman Ishan Kishan and captain Shubman Gill is, their friendly style outside the field is equally fun. An interesting glimpse of the bonding between the two players was seen in a video released by BCCI after India’s big win by 170 runs in the second ODI against Afghanistan. In the video, Ishan Kishan was seen jokingly accusing Captain Gill of ‘spoiling’ his double century. Ishaan played a stormy inning of 125 runs in this match.
‘My 70 runs were reduced’
In fact, during the match, when the 37th over of the Indian innings was going on, Shubman Gill hit two sixes in a row. After this, he provoked Ishan Kishan, who was standing at the non-striker end, and asked him to try to hit six sixes in this over. Following the captain’s advice, Ishaan became overly aggressive and got caught in the deep on the very next ball while trying to play a big shot. After the match, Ishaan scolded Gill for this matter and said, ‘In the process of hitting 6 sixes, my 70 runs were reduced.’ On this, Gill also retorted laughingly, ‘I had to kill you.’ To which Ishaan also agreed smilingly.
