Nowadays, many students and youth preparing for competitive exams remain confused thinking that what is the difference between UPTET and Super TET and which exam is more important. Many times people assume that they will get a government job after passing UPTET, whereas the actual truth is a little different from this. If you too are dreaming of becoming a teacher in Uttar Pradesh, then this news is for you. Here we are going to explain the entire process to you, so that your confusion ends forever.
What is UPTET?
First of all, let's talk about UPTET, Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is an exam which decides whether you are eligible to become a teacher or not. You can consider this as a kind of “entry pass”. Just as one needs a gate pass to go to a big place, in the same way, it is necessary to pass UPTET to become a teacher in a government school. If you have not passed UPTET, then you cannot apply for teacher recruitment. After passing this exam, you get a certificate, which is now valid for lifetime. That means once you pass it, there will be no need to give it again and again. This is the reason why this is considered the first and very important step.
What is Super TET?
Now comes Super TET, which is a real game changer. Super TET is actually the examination through which teachers are recruited in government schools. That means this is the exam which gets you the job. You can appear in Super TET only after passing UPTET. On the basis of the marks obtained in this, the merit list is prepared and on that basis it is decided whether you will get the job or not. Therefore you can also call it “Final Selection Exam”.

UPTET = aptitude test
Super TET = job exam

Another thing to be kept in mind is that the level of Super TET is a little more difficult than UPTET, because there is more competition in it and here just passing is not enough, but getting good marks is important.
