For the first time this year, CBSE had provided additional opportunity to class 10 students to improve their marks. For this purpose the second board examination was organized in May 2026. Those students appeared in this examination who wanted to improve their first board exam marks.
The board believes that this additional opportunity will reduce the exam pressure on students and will give them another chance to improve their performance. The result of second board exam is likely to improve the subject wise marks and overall percentage of many students.
More than 6.8 lakh students took the exam
According to CBSE data, more than 6.8 lakh students from across the country appeared in the second board examination. This number shows that a large number of students took advantage of this opportunity to improve their results.
Earlier, CBSE had declared the result of class 10th Phase-1 examination on 15 April 2026. According to the board, a total of 24,83,479 students had registered for that examination, out of which 24,71,777 students appeared in the examination. Of these, 23,16,008 students had achieved success. The overall pass percentage was recorded at 93.70 percent.

Digital marksheet will be available on DigiLocker
- Students first open the official website or mobile app of DigiLocker.
- Now sign in with the help of your Aadhaar linked mobile number or registered login credentials.
- After login, select CBSE.
- Then students click on Class 10 Marksheet.
- After this fill your roll number, school number and other information given in the admit card.
- Now fill the details and click on Submit.
- After this your mark sheet will appear on the screen.
You will be able to check the result like this
- First of all students go to the official website of CBSE cbseresults.nic.in.
- Click on CBSE Class 10 Second Board Result 2026 link.
- After this enter students roll number, school number and admit card ID.
- Then students click on submit button.
- After this the result will appear on the student’s computer screen.
- Download the scorecard and keep its printout safe for further reference.
