A member of the Rajasthan Royals support staff was seen using a mobile phone during the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in IPL 2026. As per IPL rules, use of mobile phones and electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the Player and Match Official Area (PMOA).

New Delhi. Rajasthan Royals (RR), who are showing explosive performance in the Indian Premier League 2026, may be in trouble. A member of the team’s support staff was seen using a mobile phone during the IPL 2026 match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. As per IPL rules, use of mobile phones and electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the Player and Match Official Area (PMOA).

According to the rules, there is a ban on using phones in the dugout and dressing room also. The reason behind this is to protect against corruption. In a video that went viral on social media, a member of the support staff was seen sitting near Vaibhav Suryavanshi and using a mobile phone. After this video surfaced, there was an uproar on social media.
