Tushar Deshpande's last over became the turning point of the match.

New Delhi. In a breath-taking and thrilling match, Rajasthan Royals defeated Gujarat Titans by 6 runs at their home ground. At one time it seemed that Gujarat team would win this match easily, but in the last over, the killer bowling of Tushar Deshpande changed the fate of the match. In defense of 11 runs, Deshpande gave only 4 runs and gave Rajasthan a victory which will be remembered for years. When Gujarat Titans needed 11 runs to win from the last 6 balls, then big hitters like 'finisher' Rashid Khan and Kagiso Rabada were present at the crease. Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag had options of experienced and international bowlers like Sandeep Sharma and Nandre Berger, but he expressed confidence in young Tushar Deshpande. This decision of Parag proved to be the biggest 'turning point' of the match.

When fast bowler Tushar Deshpande brought the last over, there was silence in the entire stadium. There was hope of victory in the Gujarat camp, while the players of Rajasthan were under pressure. The first ball of the 20th over was a low full-toss which went wide. Rabada took a single on the next legal delivery. Now 9 runs were needed in 5 balls. Deshpande bowled a brilliant yorker on the second ball, which Rashid Khan could only play towards third man. Now the equation was 8 runs in 4 balls. Deshpande bowled another accurate yorker on the third ball. Rabada played it towards the bowler, Tushar touched it and could get only one run. No runs were scored on the fourth ball. From here the match started coming into Rajasthan's hands. Rashid Khan tried to play a scoop shot, but Deshpande's speed and precise line eluded him. Now 7 runs were needed in 2 balls. The effect of pressure was visible on Rashid Khan on the fifth ball. He tried to play a big shot on a length ball, but the ball rose high in the air. Joffra Archer, posted at the boundary, made a brilliant dive while running and took a difficult catch and ended the innings of Rashid (24 runs).

Tushar Deshpande's last over became the turning point of the match.

A six was needed on the last ball of the over to win. The new batsman on strike was Ashok Sharma. Deshpande again bowled a low full-toss, on which Ashok could only take the inside edge. With this Rajasthan won the match by 6 runs.

'This is my area'
As soon as the match ended, Tushar Deshpande ran on the field and celebrated in the style of 'This is my territory'. Captain Riyan Parag also ran towards him and did an enthusiastic 'fist pump'. The kind of restraint that Deshpande showed in the last over of his spell proved that he is a player who does not crumble under pressure but improves.

Rajasthan Royals won on the last ball.

turning point of the match
The credit for this victory goes as much to Tushar's bowling as it does to Riyan Parag's captaincy. With a 'death over specialist' like Sandeep Sharma, handing the ball to Tushar was a big gamble, but Deshpande silenced the Gujarat giants with his accurate yorkers and slower balls. Gujarat team was reduced to the score of 204 for 8 wickets and Rajasthan continued its winning streak. Due to this defeat, there was disappointment in the dugout of Gujarat Titans, whereas for Rajasthan, this victory took their confidence to the seventh sky.
