Actually, this match was played between USA and Nepal. This match of ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 took place in Kirtipur, in which Nepal team won by 268 balls. This match broke a 19-year-old record, when the ODI played between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe in 2001 was over in just 20 overs. In this match, the Sri Lankan team had won by 9 wickets. Sri Lanka had achieved the target of 39 runs in 4.2 overs.
USA was bundled out for 35 runs
Batting first, the United States and America were all out for just 35 runs. USA’s innings fell apart like a pack of cards in front of the killer bowling of Sandeep Lamichhane and Sushan Bhari. USA opener Xavier Marshall was the only one who managed to cross double figures for the team. He had scored 16 runs. Four batsmen of the team could score only 0 runs, three batsmen could score 4 runs, one batsman could score only 2 runs and two batsmen could score only 1 run. The entire team was able to play only 12 overs. Sandeep Lamichhane opened his claws during his bowling of 6 overs. He took 6 wickets giving just 16 runs. Nepal got victory in 32 balls
Chasing a modest target, Nepal registered victory in just 32 balls. The openers certainly got out cheaply, but Paras Khadka and Deependra Singh Airi ensured victory by remaining unbeaten. Paras scored 20 unbeaten runs and Deependra scored 15 unbeaten runs. This win of Nepal is the fourth biggest win in terms of balls left. England has the record of the biggest victory in this case. He defeated Canada in 1979 with 277 balls to spare.
