Ruturaj Gaikwad trolled: Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad’s poor form in IPL 2026 is showing no sign of stopping. Even in the match played against Kolkata Knight Riders, he once again returned to the pavilion cheaply. After his flop show in the 5th consecutive match of the season, fans trolled him badly on social media.

New Delhi. IPL 2026 has been no less than a nightmare for Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad so far. Struggling with poor form in the first four matches, Ruturaj’s bat did not work even against Kolkata Knight Riders. Gaikwad walked out after scoring only 7 runs. He lost his wicket while trying to hit a ‘slog sweep’ to Anukul Roy on his sixth ball of the innings. Seeing him not scoring runs in the fifth consecutive match, the patience of the fans broke and Ruturaj had to become a victim of trolling on social media. The fans were so angry that someone called him a ‘fraud’ and someone demanded his removal from the captaincy and the team.
Gaikwad is yearning for a big innings this season. He returned to the pavilion after getting out on single digit scores thrice. Scored 15 runs against Delhi Capitals and scored only 7 runs against defending champion RCB. He looked to be in great form against Punjab Kings, playing some good shots, but walked out after scoring 28 runs. Only 6 runs were bowled out against Rajasthan Royals and now they could not even touch double figures against Kolkata Knight Riders. Thus far, he has been able to add only 124 runs in 5 matches.
