Gill is one of the batsmen who has consistently scored runs in the IPL. He had scored 650 runs in the last season, 426 runs before that and 890 runs in 2023. He said, 'I have to do what I have been doing for the last four years. The team will have to perform well continuously. If we keep doing this, we can win the trophy again.

Shubman Gill took over the captaincy from Hardik Pandya from the 2024 season. Gujarat Titans had earned name by winning the trophy since their debut in IPL in 2022.
