The 36th match of IPL 2026 was played on Saturday between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Sawai Mansingh Stadium. Pat Cummins won the toss and chose to bowl first. With the help of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s century and Dhruv Jurel’s half-century, Rajasthan Royals batted first and scored a huge score of 228 runs. While chasing the target, Abhishek Sharma (57) and Ishan Kishan (74) played brilliant half-centuries. SRH achieved the target with 9 balls remaining and won by 5 wickets. This is the fourth biggest successful run chase in IPL history.

Sunrisers Hyderabad did not have a good start while chasing the big target of 229, despite getting a lease of life in the very first over, Travis Head was out in the very first over. After this, Abhishek Sharma took the game forward in a defensive style, Ishaan also did not take risk in the beginning and proceeded with the innings wisely. In the end both were out in the same over, but by then Sunrisers Hyderabad had reached the threshold of victory.
