New Delhi. Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant looked very angry after the defeat against Rajasthan Royals. Chasing the target of 160 runs, the Lucknow team collapsed for just 119 runs, after which Pant blamed the team’s batting unit for the defeat. The scorecard is witness that Lucknow’s batting completely disintegrated. Captain Rishabh Pant himself returned to the pavilion on 0. Apart from them, Ayush Badoni and Aiden Markram also failed to open the account. Except Mitchell Marsh (55 runs), no batsman could show the courage to stay at the crease.
Expressing his displeasure after the match, Rishabh Pant said, ‘I think it is difficult to explain it in words. Our batting is letting us down. We have to find the answer within ourselves. We could have taken some time while batting, but I don’t want to make any excuses. Our bowlers did a great job, but the batsmen disappointed us.

The bowlers did a ‘fantastic’ job
Pant praised his bowlers who restricted Rajasthan to 159 runs. Mohammed Shami gave the start in the powerplay by taking the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurel, while Mohsin Khan and Prince Yadav bowled tightly in the middle overs. But the poor performance of the batsmen spoiled the hard work of the bowlers. Even though the team was limited to 18 overs, Pant is still positive about the comeback. He said, ‘We still want to look at positive things. We know we have the ‘firepower’ (offensive players) and we have to have confidence in our abilities.
Lucknow Super Giants lost due to Jadeja’s all-round game
Due to Ravindra Jadeja’s all-round game and excellent performance by the bowlers, Rajasthan Royals defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 40 runs. ‘Player of the Match’ Jadeja, after playing an unbeaten inning of 49 runs in 29 balls, also did wonders in bowling and took one wicket for 29 runs. Despite scoring an average score of 159 runs for eight wickets, Rajasthan Royals registered a big victory of 40 runs by bowling out Super Giants for just 119 runs in 18 overs. Jofra Archer (20/3) and Nandre Berger (27/2) shook the top order of the Super Giants, while Brijesh Sharma (18/2), Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi (23/1) did not give the middle and lower order a chance to settle at the crease. For Super Giants, Mitchell Marsh made the maximum contribution of 55 runs in 41 balls. However, he did not get anyone’s support from the other end. Apart from them, only Nicholas Puran (22) and Himmat Singh (15) could score runs in double digits.
