But the poor performance of the batsmen spoiled the hard work of the bowlers. Even though the team was limited to 18 overs, Pant is still positive about the comeback. He said, ‘We still want to look at positive things. We know we have the ‘firepower’ (offensive players) and we have to have confidence in our abilities.

Despite scoring an average score of 159 runs for eight wickets, Rajasthan Royals registered a big victory of 40 runs by bowling out Super Giants for just 119 runs in 18 overs. Jofra Archer (20/3) and Nandre Berger (27/2) shook the top order of the Super Giants, while Brijesh Sharma (18/2), Jadeja and Ravi Bishnoi (23/1) did not give the middle and lower order a chance to settle at the crease. For Super Giants, Mitchell Marsh made the maximum contribution of 55 runs in 41 balls. However, he did not get anyone’s support from the other end. Apart from them, only Nicholas Puran (22) and Himmat Singh (15) could score runs in double digits.
