Bhuvneshwar Kumar created history
By taking the wicket of Sai Sudarshan in this match, Bhuvneshwar Kumar had touched the figure of 350 wickets in his T20 career. He is the second Indian to do so in T20 cricket after Yuzvendra Chahal. Bhuvneshwar Kumar completed 350 wickets in his 325th match. In the match against Gujarat Titans, he took the wickets of Sai Sudarshan, Shubhman Gill and Jos Buttler. Due to which his total T20 wicket figure has reached 352.
Gujarat’s fifth victory
This was Gujarat Titans’ fifth win in the IPL 2026 season, after which they have moved to fifth place in the points table with 10 points. Whereas RCB has maintained the second position.
When Gujarat team came to chase the target of 156 runs, Sai Sudarshan was out early, but captain Shubman Gill wreaked havoc with the bat and played an inning of 43 runs in 18 balls. Virat Kohli contributed in dismissing Gill by taking an incredible catch. Jos Buttler scored 39 runs in 19 balls.
In the end, Rahul Tewatia, who came as an impact player, ensured Gujarat’s fifth win of the season by scoring unbeaten 27 runs in 17 balls. This was also a big victory for Gujarat because it achieved the target with 25 balls remaining. Due to this he would have got benefit in net run-rate also.
