Together they scored 78 runs in the first 6 overs, which is the second highest score of Mumbai Indians in the powerplay in IPL 2026. In the first 6 overs of the game, Jacques scored 38 runs in 18 balls, on the other hand, Rickleton also faced 18 balls and scored 37 runs.

Finally, Will Jacques played his first match of IPL 2026 against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Along with Ryan Rickleton, he targeted the Hyderabad bowlers from the very first over. There was an opening partnership of 93 runs between the two. In this match, Jacques played a brilliant inning of 46 runs in 22 balls. Rickleton completed fifty runs in 23 balls.
