Ranbir Kapoor starrer film ‘Ramayanam’ seems to be one of the grandest films in the history of Indian cinema. This project is being made in two parts and its aim is to present this great epic in a new style on a large scale. As soon as the first look of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram was revealed, the excitement among the people increased a lot. The audience praised his powerful transformation and said that he has played this character brilliantly.

Actor Tarun Khanna recently revealed in Galata India that Ranbir Kapoor had dedicated himself completely to the preparation of his character. He also watched the live Ramayanam stage performance to portray the role authentically, which clearly shows his hard work and commitment.

Tarun Khanna told, ‘Ranbir Kapoor, his wife Alia Bhatt, his mother Neetu Singh and his friend Ayan Mukherjee, all four had come to watch our play at NCPA in Mumbai. Just for Ranbir’s preparation. Imagine how seriously Ranbir Kapoor takes his work that he came to watch the theater performance to understand Ramayanam and know its power.

In the film, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the divine role of Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi will bring her dignity and depth to the role of Sita. With Yash playing the role of the mighty Ravana, Sunny Deol playing the mighty Hanuman and Ravi Dubey playing the role of Laxman, the film is going to be a grand retelling with a stellar star cast.

When will the film be released?
Ramayanamm, being directed by Nitish Tiwari, is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with 8-time Oscar winner DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. It will be released in both and will be released in IMAX across the country. The first part will be released in Diwali 2026, while the second part will hit the theaters in Diwali 2027.
