Nowadays people use WhatsApp on WhatsApp Web or on many devices like tablets and laptops. This facility is easy but it also involves risk. Many times people forget to logout after logging into WhatsApp Web on a public or office computer. In such a situation, any other person can access their chats. An attempt is being made to solve this problem through this new feature.

Currently, users have to manually go to the Linked Devices section to see which devices are linked. From there they can logout any unknown device. But most people do not do this check regularly due to which there remains a security risk.
How will the new feature work?
The new system will make this entire process easier. If your main phone and any other device are activated simultaneously, you will get an immediate alert. Suppose you leave WhatsApp Web open on your office computer and someone starts using it, then you will immediately get information about it on your phone. This allows you to immediately logout or take other security steps.
When will you get the notification?
This notification will come only when your main device (phone) and any other linked device are active simultaneously. If WhatsApp is running on only one device, the alert will not be sent.

This feature is currently in the testing phase and has been seen in the beta version of Android. It is expected that it will be released for all users in the upcoming updates.
