AI Will Help People in Lift: Now there is a big relief news for the passengers traveling at Namo Bharat stations. If someone gets stuck in the lift, now he will not have to wait long for help. National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has developed a new AI based system which detects such situations in a very short time and sends alerts immediately. This technology is being implemented at stations like Ghaziabad so that the safety of passengers and rescue speed can be improved.
How does this AI system work?
This smart system monitors every activity through cameras installed in the lift area. If a person gets stuck in the lift, this technology recognizes the situation within about 60 seconds and immediately sends information to the Operation Control Center (OCC). Besides, an alarm also starts ringing near the lift so that the staff can become active immediately. If timely action is still not taken, the system raises the alert to a more serious level to ensure immediate response.
How different is this system from before?
Earlier, if someone got stuck in the lift, he had to press the alarm button himself or ask for help through the intercom. This entire process depended on the activity of the person. But now with the help of AI, this system automatically recognizes the situation and issues alerts, due to which the rescue process has become faster and automatic than ever before.
Will work even without internet
The special thing about this system is that it is based on the existing CCTV network and it does not have to depend on the internet or cloud service to work. All the information is processed in a secure local system, due to which the privacy of the passengers is maintained and this technology continues to work without interruption even if there is a network problem.
Will be used in other places also in future
NCRTC believes that this technology will not be limited to just metro stations. In the coming time, it can also be used in railway stations, hospitals, airports and big commercial buildings. This AI system takes passenger safety to a new level. Now getting stuck in the lift will not be so scary because help is going to arrive faster than before.
