National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has released the provisional answer key of NEET UG 2026 exam. Candidates who appeared for the medical entrance examination on May 3, 2026, can now download the answer key by visiting the official website neet.nta.nic.in. With this, students can estimate the possible score by matching their answers.
When was the examination and application held?
The application process for NEET UG 2026 started from 8 February 2026. Candidates were given the opportunity to apply till March 11. After this, the correction window was opened between March 12 and 14. The examination was conducted on May 3, 2026 at various examination centers across the country.
OMR sheet will be released soon
NTA has informed that soon after the answer key, the scanned OMR sheets of the students will also be released. To download the OMR sheet, candidates have to login with their application number and password. Through this, students will be able to check their given answers correctly.
You will be able to lodge objection on the answer key
If any student finds a mistake in any question or answer, they can raise their objection online after the answer challenge window opens. A prescribed fee will have to be paid for filing objections on each question. NTA will release the final answer key after examining all the objections and the result will be prepared on the basis of that.

NEET 2026 marking scheme
In NEET exam, 4 marks are given for every correct answer while 1 mark is deducted for every wrong answer. No marks are given for the question without answer. Students can easily calculate their probable marks with the help of official answer key.
When will the result come?
According to media reports, the result of NEET UG 2026 can be released this month. However, the result date has not been officially announced by NTA yet. Candidates have been advised to keep checking the official website from time to time.
Download NEET UG 2026 answer key like this
- First of all candidates go to the official website neet.nta.nic.in.
- Click on “NEET UG 2026 Answer Key” link on the homepage.
- Now the login page will open, where enter Application Number, Date of Birth and Security Pin.
- After this click on the submit button.
- Your answer key will appear on the screen.
- Now download the PDF and take a printout for future use.
