There is big news for the youth who dream of making a career in the defense sector. UPSC has released the notification of NDA 2 Recruitment 2026. Through this recruitment, candidates will be selected in the National Defense Academy and Indian Naval Academy. This time UPSC has recruited a total of 394 posts. These vacancies have been earmarked for the three wings of Army, Navy and Air Force. The objective of this recruitment is to appoint qualified and disciplined officers for the defense services of the country. Candidates will be given training in the prestigious Defense Academy after the selection process.
Under this recruitment drive, recruitment will be done on a total of 394 posts. Of these, 208 seats have been earmarked for the Army, 42 for the Navy, 120 for various departments of the Air Force and 24 for the Naval Academy.
When will the exam be held?
The written examination of this recruitment will be held on 13 September 2026. The examination will be held at various centers across the country. The admit card will be released on 6 September 2026. The result of the examination is likely to be declared in September 2026.
What should be the qualification?
For this examination, the candidate should have passed 12th or the candidate should be studying in 12th class. 12th pass candidates from any stream can apply for Army Wing. Whereas for Air Force and Navy it is necessary to have Physics and Maths in 12th.
What is the age limit fixed?
The age limit for this recruitment has been fixed between 1 January 2008 to 1 January 2011. Only unmarried male and female candidates can apply.
How will the selection be done?
NDA recruitment process is completed in three stages. The first stage consists of written examination which includes Mathematics and General Aptitude test. In the second stage, SSB interview is conducted. In the last stage, medical examination is conducted. Final selection is made on the basis of performance in all stages.

How much application fee will have to be paid?
The application fee for this recruitment has been fixed at Rs 100. Reserved category candidates have been given exemption in application fee.
How much will you get for this stipend?
During training, candidates get a stipend of approximately Rs 56,100 per month. After completion of training, selected officers are given salary and other allowances as per Level 10 pay scale.
