Why does Mukesh Khanna not want Ranveer Singh to play the role of Shaktimaan?

He said, ‘Everyone is trying to convince me that now Ranveer Singh has become a big actor. I don’t want a big actor for Shaktimaan. I don’t want a star for Shaktimaan. I want an image for Shaktimaan which is not with Ranveer Singh. That’s why I am against it. I am not against Ranveer’s performance.

Mukesh Khanna said, ‘He can do Alauddin Khilji. Gully Boy has done it. He did a great job, I even praised him. But for me to become Shaktiman, it is not enough to be just an actor, but it is also important to have a face. That face which suits Shaktimaan. My only objection is that he should look powerful in his eyes, if he is standing, he should not look conspiratorial. I can sign Ranveer for Kilvish (Villain) but not for Shaktimaan. There is negativity on the face. There is no positivity on his face.

Talking about the film, Mukesh said, ‘It is coming, it should come. We regret the interruption. Everyone knows what a speed breaker is. Everyone knows what my objection is.
