Both train and flight options are available to reach North Bengal from Delhi. Rajdhani Express running from New Delhi Railway Station is considered the best. Its one-way fare is around Rs 3,500, which means the cost of traveling is around Rs 7,000. Whereas the journey by flight is completed quickly, but the fare may change according to the time of booking. You can get better prices by booking tickets in advance. After reaching Bagdogra, share and private vehicles are easily available for Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Sikkim and surrounding areas.
The distance from Bagdogra Airport to Mirik is about 53 kilometers, which can be covered in 2 to 2.5 hours. This small hill station is known for Sumendu Lake, tea gardens, pine forests and orange groves. Places like boating, walking on the lake shore and Ramite Dara Viewpoint can be seen here.
