Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has today released the lottery results for admission in Kindergarten and Class 1. Parents who had registered online can now visit the official website and see their child’s name in the list. The registration process started from March 20 and continued till April 2.
During this period, a large number of applications were received for admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country. Parents can check the status of their child on Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and admission.kvs.gov.in. Here both provisional selection list and waiting list have been released.

- First provisional list of Balvatika – 8 April 2026
- First Provisional List of Class 1 – 9 April 2026
- In Assam, Kerala and Puducherry – 10 April 2026 (due to elections)
- Second list – 16 April 2026
- Third list – 21 April 2026

If seats remain vacant even after this list, then opportunity for offline registration will be given between 22nd to 26th April. Admission for classes above Kindergarten and Class 2 will be done between April 15 and 20. The last date for admission in all classes except class 11 is June 30, 2026.
How does KVS lottery work?
Admission in Kindergarten and Class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalayas is done completely through computerized lottery system. In this, special care is taken about transparency. After the registration is closed, all the applications are divided into different categories like RTE, service priority, reserved category etc. Admission in classes 2 and above is done offline on the basis of vacant seats. Whereas admission to class 11 will start after the declaration of class 10th results of CBSE Board.
What should parents do after lottery?
Parents of children whose names appear in the list will have to go to the school within the stipulated time and get the documents verified. In this, proof of age, residence proof, service certificate (if applicable), caste certificate (for reserved category) and income certificate for RTE category will have to be given. If this process is not completed within the stipulated time, the seat will be given to the child on the waiting list.
