How to reach Kedarnatha Dham by train
For those traveling by this most used mode, the nearest railway station is Rishikesh Railway Station or Haridwar Railway Station. Direct trains are available here from many big cities of the country. Direct bus or taxi is available from the railway station to Gaurikund. This method is good for those travelers who want economical travel and like to enjoy the beautiful views along the way. For those traveling by train, the estimated expense can go up to Rs 3 to 4 thousand per person.

If you are fond of road trips, then going by bus or in your car can be a great experience, which will make your journey more memorable, so that you will be able to create good memories that will be remembered for years. Regular bus services from Delhi, Haridwar or Rishikesh are easily available to Gaurikund or Sonprayag. For example, if you are going from Delhi, you can take a bus to Sonprayag directly from Kashmiri Gate.
Whereas, if you go by your own car, you can enjoy beautiful confluence places like Devprayag, Rudraprayag on the way. However, driving can be a bit challenging due to the hilly terrain, so it is essential to have good driving skills, or if possible, take an experienced driver with you as caution is a must.
